Temporary exhibition

Comics! Telling Women’s Stories In cooperation with La bûche

accessibility.time_to

Château de Prangins has given 12 female comic artists from the collective La bûche free rein to create a temporary exhibition. In pairs, they spent a week at the château during autumn 2022, drawing inspiration from the voices and lives of women of varying social backgrounds - the Baroness of Prangins, a servant, and an American feminist and philanthropist - who resided there between the 18th and 20th centuries. The exhibition Comics! Telling Women's Wtories showcases the fruits of their work. From 11 March to 4 June 2023, their creations in media ranging from drawing and engraving to painting will tell a richly diverse array of stories. At the core of the exhibition, a strip of paper 10 metres in length on which each artist has drawn a few motifs stands as a joint endeavour, symbolising the bond between the illustrators.
